Stockton has many opportunities for sports spectators and participants. Spectators can enjoy professional sports at the Stockton Event Center. Three major sports teams call these downtown waterfront venues home: California Cougars (Indoor) Soccer and the Stockton Thunder ECHL (East Coast Hockey League - Ice Hockey) at the Stockton Arena, and Stockton Ports Baseball, a single-A minor league team, at the Stockton Ballpark at Banner Island.
